Every batch is tested against the specification for the product it claims to be, and it is quality control that signs it out. Production cannot release its own work and neither can anybody taking the order. The certificate of analysis travels in the consignment rather than being emailed afterwards, so the paperwork and the cartons arrive together, and a query about a lot resolves against a record rather than a recollection.

The site runs dry powder, liquid injectable, lyophilised and IV infusion presentations across 11 therapeutic groups. Line clearance between batches is documented, equipment and rooms are cleaned to a written procedure and signed off before the next product is set up, and in-process checks run during the batch rather than only at the end of it.

Active ingredients and excipients are bought against a written specification, sampled on arrival and tested before release to production. Materials are approved by vendor and by lot rather than by vendor alone, so a qualified supplier still cannot push through an out-of-specification consignment, and rejected material is physically segregated and recorded.
